Our Yearly Projects
Habitat Post is a flagship project of Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter that integrates its advocacy through the sale of postcards which may be bought and delivered across the Ateneo campus through a courier service provided by the organization. In relation to the organization’s advocacy where every Filipino belongs to a decent home and its goal of eliminating poverty housing, all funds generated from this project will be used in the organization’s efforts to further promote decent housing. Each post card bought is equivalent to two hollow blocks donated to our partner communities
Street Store is an annual advocacy initiative in partnership with the LS community in order to gather clothing donations for Habitat for Humanity’s partner communities. In turn, families in our partner communities will be provided with “tokens,” which they may use to “purchase” these articles of clothing so as to foster empowerment through their purchasing power, which is in line with the organization’s sustainability efforts.
The Builds Department advocates and promotes the vision of HFH through this main project. Every semester the organization, led by the builds department, sets up several "builds" event, wherein members of HFH BC and even non-members can participate in building homes with the organization's partner communities. Members gain appreciation and understanding of the organization’s advocacy and the organization's role in helping society.
